Adrian Sikora: When I am in Bratislava I always prefer LOVE 4 TENNIS
For two weeks by now, Adrian Sikora has had a new coach. In September‘s interview for the website love4tennis.sk he reveals who his new coach is, what are his plans when it comes to ATP rankings a what is his experience with the training program in the LOVE 4 TENNIS Academy.
You have recently won Futures tournament in Austria, after that you were in the final of the Futures tournament in Trnava. What are the main reasons of your recent successes?
It’s all about hard work, trainings, mental training and a motivation to be better. When a person works hard and achieves partial success, it helps. Then you can see higher goals in your career. My goal is to be at least on the 260. position of the ATP Rankings. When that happens, I can play the qualification of the Australian Open 2014.
Recently, you didn’t have a personal coach. Are you still in the same situation?
No, I have begun to cooperate with Jan Bedan of the Czech Republic. He is very experienced with players which were or are high in the rankings – his daughter Daniela Bedanova, Ivo Minar, Jan Hajek, sisters Pliskova. I am now on the 327. position in the ATP rankings and you need something more there. I have decided to invest a I believe that it will help.
There was a time when you used to practice in LOVE 4 TENNIS Academy. How did you benefit from this cooperation?
That time (summer 2012) , I was without a personal coach. Headcoach Erik Csarnakovics was working with me everyday. In the morning, we were working on some technical and tactical training. In the afternoon I was playing tennis with a sparring partner. Erik gave me advices which helped me. They’ve got excellent facilities, they are practicing yoga, there are some mental coaches, physiotherapists, massage therapists and fitness coaches.
Do you go there often?
Certainly, when I have time and I am in Bratislava, I’m used to go to play in LOVE TENNIS 4 Academy only.
