Lenka Jurikova from LOVE 4 TENNIS wins seventh ITF title!
LOVE 4 TENNIS member Lenka Jurikova won her first singles ITF title this season and her overall seventh career title in Prerov, Czech Republic.
Lenka reached the 2nd Round at EMPIRE Slovak Open 2016, making her way from the qualies, showing signs of good form a month ago. Now she proved it was no coincidence. At ITF ZUBR CUP in Prerov, Czech Republic she beat all opponents to win the title. Coached by Peter Jurik and Michal Milko, Lenka beat Ukrainian Anastasia Zarytska in the final in two sets 6-2, 6-4. “Even in my dreams, I would not have expected to win title here. My trainings in past three weeks were not good at all. I did not practice very often. I was concentrating on finishing my degree. Afterwards, I was sick, so I could not practice again,” said Lenka for www.love4tennis.sk. She also commented on her performance in Prerov.
“I was not happy with my performance in first two matches. I was suffering, but won them thanks to my fighting spirit. It was better in quarterfinal, but it was still not the game I can play. Balls did not suit my serve and my second serve was not the best. Yesterday it was very shaky from both sides against Janka Jablonovska. I started playing my game in the final, especially from the baseline. I did not expect to win the tournament,” added Jurikova.
