Peter Mick has 2 ATP points; he wants five by the end of the year

Peter Mick (20), the member of the LOVE 4 TENNIS Academy coached by Jan Stancik, has gained two ATP points in Egypt and Georgia during his Futures tournament trips.  He has achieved the goal of this season, but he wants to fight for more points at the Futures tournaments.
Peter Mick was successful in Sharm El Sheikh in early June, where he was beaten after two wins in qualifying the American player Farzin Danny Amiri 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of the main draw. “The first point was a relief for me. It was the desired goal I wanted to achieve. I will remember it till the end of my life. We were playing around 09.00 PM, it was a great day for me. I was motivated. I played really well. First point was better than the second one,” said Mick.
“The most important reason why I have gained that point in Egypt (at the second tournament) was that I handled the whole trip by myself. I chose the hotel and tournaments which were played by better players than I expected. It was only a matter of time and I finally did it. I even asked for a wild card to the main draw at the third tournament and they gave it to me.”
The second point he has achieved in Georgia during the next trip in July & August. “When I played against Russian Maxim Dmitriev in the first round of the main draw and I beat him, I have gained another point and I said to myself that this goes the right way.” And why Peter was travelling to Georgia when he could play at the Futures tournaments in Slovakia at the same time of the year? “We have met one gentleman who lived in Austria, but his family was in Georgia. He managed to find a good accommodation for us. Three weeks in Georgia were cheaper than two weeks in Slovakia,” added Mick.
These results would not be possible without the help of his coach Jan Stancik from LOVE 4 TENNIS Academy. “Yes, no doubt that cooperation with him helps me.” Peter was in Georgia with his girlfriend Lujza Ryskova, also the player of our academy. And it was very good for Peter.
Mick is leaving for Croatia for two weeks and he is going to play at Futures tournaments.  Then he is going to try the qualifying of the ARIMEX Challenger Trophy in Trnava. “After that I decide if I keep playing on clay or I choose hard courts. I want to add more ATP points and it’s a primary goal for the rest of this year.  It would be the best to have five points and to be around the 1200th position in the ATP rankings. Then I don’t need to play qualifying at the Futures in the next season,” added Mick, currently ranked No. 1684 in men’s singles tennis.
