Miloslav Mecir trains in the LOVE 4 TENNIS Academy

Well-known Slovak tennis player Miloslav Mecir belongs to the players that you often see on the courts of the club LOVE TENNIS on Turbinova street in Bratislava. “I like it here very much,” says the No. 190 player of the ATP rankings who is going to restart his career and he is experiencing the best tennis season ever.
Miloslav Mecir, the son of the famous father, has found motivation to play tennis at the professional level recently after his successful qualifying at Roland Garros 2014 tournament and other good results. When he is in Slovakia he practices tennis also in the LOVE 4 TENNIS club, for example with the Belarusian Uladzimir Ignatik or the Slovak player Adrian Partl. “I go to LOVE 4 TENNIS when I don’t practice at the National Tennis Centre. I like it here very much. There is a peace here and I have found an ideal environment for my trainings. I modulate them as I want. I have either long training or more short trainings. Overall, I’m really content here,” says Mecir for love4tennis.sk.
But there was a time when Miloslav Mecir didn’t think about professional tennis at all. “Two years ago, I wanted to finish my career. I hated tennis; I considered it just as a hobby. I wanted to play tennis leagues and to have some extra income while studying. But I have been successful recently. For 18 months, tennis has been my greatest pleasure. I want to become a full time tennis player. I feel the chance that I still can have some results and get higher in the ATP rankings,” believes Mecir.
Younger Mecir doesn’t have a full-time coach. It’s a costly investment. When he needs a piece of advice, he consults his father Miloslav Mecir and Erik Csarnakovics, the head coach of LOVE 4 TENNIS Academy. “We played against Milos with my colleague from our Academy Jan Stancik when we were younger. We have known each others for a long time. Last year in winter, we offered him to practice here in L4T. When he needs some help, we are available to him. He helped us many times with players from our Academy with whom he played. He gives his advice without hesitating. It is a mutual cooperation,” confirms Csarnakovics. “His training, however, is all about the way he sets it by himself. We give him small tips. He is the best one understands his own game.”
